Ohhh, just in the process of getting my Water cooling setup back on this quad. May have to lap the thing first, read the link you posted never relised how concave the dam things were. My Danger Den block has already been lapped.

Cheers for the heads up.

Got the Watercooling up and running today it's taken temps from 55c idle down to 40c and load temps from 60c down to 44c. Overclocked from 2.4 to 2.8 without touching any voltages Cool . Gotta take it all off again soon for the arrival of my new tubing so i will lap the CPU and see what difference it makes, i'll post results in the next few weeks.

Had a scary moment though when smoke started bellowing out of the case then the pc died, Small metal fragment had hit my 8800 Gts right on the power connecter solder points. Luckly i powered down pritty quick found and removed the fragment of metal and cleaned up the scorch marks and it all works fine again, ran 3dmark 06 just be sure Rolling Eyes . I swear to got my heart stopped when it happened Laughing

Yeah im always more concerned for my Graphics cards above anything else just cuz there so expensive. Still no harm done.

Got 3.0ghz out of it today with 1:1 dram ratio running 5-4-4-10 @ 1t could never get 1t at default setting of 1066mhz running at 800mhz at the moment.

Still havent touched voltages so there's more headroom there, think it'll max out around 3.4ghz which would be a 1000mhz overclock Laughing .

3.0ghz makes the temp rise to about 50c load even with water cooling, i need to lap it and buy some decent thermal paste using akasa stuff at the moment. Need me some Artic silver 5.

One thing i did find with my quad is it doesn't like the muliplier to be lowered, i tried 8 x and no matter what i did it, would hang durning post.
