Finnaly got hold of them, borrowed my partners phone and called them, told them i was not happy waiting 3 days with no replies. Anyway they said it sounded more like a memory/motherboard issue to them.

Basically whats happening is crysis & cod4 whould freeze about 10-20 mins into game and sound would loop/stutter. lowering the memory on the card from 1900mhz defualt to 1800mhz seemed to fix the issue, tried onboard sound drivers, 3 display drivers, 2 mainboard driver sets and fresh install of vista x64 still no joy. Then i check power to the card, reseated the card and fitting thermalright V2 copper cooler (exellent temps by the way). thought it might be temps all though they seems ok. The only way to get it running without freezing was to lower memory clock on card. Thats what made me think it the cards memory causing the problems.

I decided to try one more thing last night and installed vista x32 and updates, drivers e.t.c and nothing else, installed crysis overclocked the card to 700 core / 1750 shaders / 2000mhz ram, and so far crysis has been rock solid stable???,... It has to be an issue with x64 vista, whats causing it i have no idea?.

Dont get me wrong the card absolutly rocks when its working crysis will play like a dream with everything set to High @ 1680x1050, i would recommend one just dont expect much from the crappy nvidia drivers as they still suck beond beleif!.

Well i will lay it down to the drivers myself i had the same problem with vista and crysis last week on the 8800 gts it would go black ten mins in and loop/stutter causing the monitor to fall back to standby.
The way i solved it was to roll back to the last set of drivers.

Been ok since but now i want a new card,i was not getting the game play i wanted, in other words i like crysis that much i think worth playing in full settings Smile

Yeah crysis does rock, and it is nice to be able to play it @ high settings but there's not a card out there which you can truely max out the settings. I would wait if i was you, save your money for the new G92 GTX. Or if you really cant wait on Dec 3rd get the new GTS, if you imaging the GT with 128 Shader processoer instead of 112, it's gonna own!, Im adding another 8800GT when they come back in stock Cool
