ACRyan BlackFire 4 80mm, 92mm, 120mm Fans

As part of a package ACRyan kindly sent me to review they included three of their Blackfire4â„¢ fans, the 80mm, 92mm and 120mm. ACRyan do these fans in various coulors and size, for full details scroll down to the middle of this page.

The difference between the Blackfire4â„¢ and normal LED fans is the DualPowerâ„¢.

Quote:

DualPowerâ„¢ = Independent power for UVLED and Fan = you can :
- adjust fan speed without dimming the lights
- turn off the lights when you don’t want them lighted
- put the lights on light controllers (flashing sequence, remote control etc) without affecting the fan
- control light brightness & fan speed separately
- put the lights on sound control and not affect the fan speed

The fans all come with a Molex to 3 pin adaptor and four screws.

As you can see from the pictures above all Blackfire4™ fans come with two ways to power the fan/LED’s, all through one fan header/Molex adaptor or separately, DualPower™

The fan specs are:

80mm
92mm
120mm
Power Consumption
1.3w
1.9w
2.8w
Fan Speed (RPM)
2500
2500
2000
Noise Level (dB)
22.18
25.24
28.95
Airflow (CFM)
32.37
43.40
77.70

I started off by replacing my plain 80mm UV painted (2500 RPM) fan that cools my CPU.

With the 80mm Blackfire4â„¢

I did have a quick check using Everest Home Edition of the fan speed and temperature of my CPU. I noticed that the fan speed flickers from 2596 to 2637 RPM and my average CPU temperature has drop by 1°C.

My PC has eight, that’s right eight 80mm fans in it; four are on a fan controller. The evening that I replaced the CPU fan with the ACRyan Blackfire4™ I got the chance to see how noisy the fan was; with my wife and kids in bed I turned the four fans on the controller to their low setting (7V). I must say that it was an improvement, I didn’t realize that the CPU fan before was so noisy.

The ACRyan Blackfire4™ really makes my pc look better than it did before, as you can see the LED’s on the fan are extremely bright just like the cables I received. Again my camera struggled to get good pictures.

The 92mm and 120mm are basically the same, at the time of writing this article I had no where to put the two fans. So using the ACRyan Backy I have, I hooked them up to have a look.

The picture on the left is the UV blue/green 92mm and on the right is the UV orange/green 120mm.

Again both fans surprised me as they were both very quiet and I have plans for both to go into my case all that's needed is a few holes to be made.

I give the ACRyan Blackfire4™ 80mm, 92mm and 120mm 9 out of 10, they lose a point due to the LED’s not lighting up the surrounding area.

All ACRyan's Blackfire4â„¢ fans can be found Here.
